25th Nov 2018: Day 5, End of an Epic Re-Union …
…. and the beginning of the rest of our lives, that the reunion has left a permanent impression on.
The buses are ready, waiting to take us back to Delhi. I’ve woken up at around 7 am, with way too little sleep. The morning passes in a blur of goodbyes and contact info exchanges. And yes, eating breakfast – not sure how I manage it but I do! I notice as if for the first time on this visit, the steel drums with taps in which chai and coffee are served. Yes, that hot, sweet chai is a must at this point.
Feeling a bit empty that the event is at an end. Priya has a good idea: let’s go to the temple real quick for one last visit! We take a rickshaw and make our visit. It’s too short. Very reluctant to leave the campus but we must. I get in the bus, feeling subdued and quiet, my head full of the emotions and impressions of the last few days. Need to get it out, need to get it outttt! And finally, after nearly 2 months, here it is, all written down… but doesn’t quite feel like I off-loaded everything from my head. I guess the emotions linger on and will keep resurfacing once in a while. Not a bad way of keeping the memories alive.
So glad and thankful for all the circumstances that made this reunion happen! And so glad to meet each one of you and interact with those I got the chance to – not to get sappy, but each interaction has been special, and I draw positive energy from it all!
I hope you will continue your own unique journey with this having added something positive to your lives!
