Romance and mild intrigue, delightful characters, a beautifully woven story, a good tempo, and hot sex – this book has it all. I didn’t quite expect to be taken back in time and place to old England, but reading this novel I felt I was there, experiencing the grace and beauty of a grand noble house in the Lake District. The characters are well sketched out, especially the main characters of Eve and Fitz, but also the secondary characters of Lily, Camellia, Vivian… each one unique and lovable. I can’t wait to read Vivian’s story next (An affair without end)!
